Tango History

The Tango is a dance form which is quite unique. It's also a good example of cultural colonization. It is a mixture of a dance called Tangano, which is transported by African slaves in Haiti and Cuba during the 18th century, and a dance called the Habanera who was born in Cuba in the 19th century. In the end, the blacks migrated to Argentina has added local styles of dance Milogna to form the Tango. It was a dance popular among the poor of Buenos Aires.

The Tango was originally a strongly erotic dance. A little sex for most people at that time, especially as it has become more known among the "kind" of Europe at the turn of the 20th century. Has gradually eased as widespread anymore. "Tango Tea" began to rise as it has become of great fashion. These were essentially cocktail party that people dance between the tables between the drinks and food.

A tango lesson

The outbreak of World War I slowed the spread of the Tango, but in 1920 he obtained a second life. The dance before the war was actually pretty complicated, there were a lot of steps and styles. After the war became known as the "New French Tango" and take the steps became more standardized. It was this form that the great Rudolph Valentino did so much in vogue in some of his previous films. While its practice had an ebb and flow over the years has always been one of the favorite dance moves.

Today tango, ballroom, in General, has experienced a surge of popularity of the vast audience of TV dance shows and movies. More and more people are enticed into fun learning sexy dance.
